With hundreds of camps for children with diabetes throughout the country, why should you consider Camp Hope?

Because we know of no other camp whose primary focus is on the emotional and psychological aspects of diabetes in children. We prepare children for living with diabetes, not just controlling the disease.

What We Do

At Camp Hope, we offer a residential setting with log cabins, each with it's own fireplace. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:4.  We have a medical team consisting of physicians, physician assistants, nurses (several of whom are certified diabetes educators, and pharmacists. We teach all aspects of diabetes self-care and focus on the emotional and psychological problems, while enjoying a week of fun activities which include swimming, hiking, special events field trips, games, competitive sports, and creative arts and crafts.
